Summary

Possible Second World War practice trenches are seen as earthworks (before being subsequently levelled) on aerial photographs. The feature consists of a cluster of small irregular ditches most likely relating to Second World War practice trenches. The practice trenches can be seen as earthworks in the 1940s and are presumed to have been levelled as they are not visible on recent (2016) aerial photographs.

July 2019. Breckland National Mapping Programme.
Possible Second World War practice trenches are seen as earthworks (before being subsequently levelled) on aerial photographs (S1). The feature consists of a cluster of small irregular ditches most likely relating to Second World War practice trenches. The possible practice trenches are in close proximity to further areas of practice trenches approximately 700m to the north east (BNH 132), approximately 400m to the east (BNH 172) and further probable Second World War training features approximately 550m to the west (BNH 127). The practice trenches can be seen as earthworks in the 1940s and are presumed to have been levelled as they are not visible on recent (2016) aerial photographs (S2).
