Full Description

C13 pottery sherd, coarse, combed decoration, from garden (S3). C15-C16 sherds, not located (S2).
Narrow, octagonal gold ring decorated on alternate faces, dug up in garden, 1949. The ring is of yellow gold with no marks and Basil Brown thought at first it may be Rom, later he describes it as Sax, but it is probably Med. Whereabouts of ring unknown.
Amongst the Med pottery sherds dug up in the garden, Brown gives sketch of one piece which he describes as 'Viking pottery' but there is no further information to augment the sketch other than it was found by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) (S1).
Note PMed brick kilns in this location - also see PMed.
Also BA and Rom from Barley Farm unlocated.
