Full Description

1857:Two brick "ovens" 18ins in diameter, 6 or 7 ft apart were found at a depth of about 12ft when digging the foundations of the Court House in 1857. They were left in place under the wall that divides the office from the Corn Exchange. (S1)

TL 67184548. Approximate position of centre portion of wall separating the Corn Exchange from the old Court-room. No further information as to the period of these kilns (?) (S2).
