Full Description

Evaluation ahead of the construction of a single dwelling and detached garage. Two phases of activity were observed at the site. Phase I has been identified as medieval (10th–14th centuries) and includes two sets of double ditches running parallel to each other on a NW to SE alignment. Phase II relates to the undated post-holes, which it is highly likely are related to Phase I. The assemblage highlights a typical range of activities in the area associated with domestic activity (S1).

Included in the Proceedings of the Suffolk Institute of Archaeology and History annual round up of individual finds and discoveries for 2022 (S2).
