GERMAN CRAFT, 1814
Status: Casualty
`The DIE HOFFNUNG, Schmidt, from Dantzig to London, was driven on shore near Aldbro', on Tuesday morning, without any person on board, and has since gone to pieces.' (1)
Other vessels were driven on shore at Southwold the same day `during a strong gale at SSE'. (1)
`During the gale on Tuesday morning last...Two foreign vessels went on shore to the north of Aldeburgh, but no lives were lost.' (3)
