Status: Casualty
`The TWO BROTHERS, Hendric, of and from Boston to Chatham; and the MARIA...were driven on Aldbro' Beach at the same time [as the DIE HOFFNUNG].' (1)
Other vessels were driven on shore at Southwold on Tuesday morning `during a strong gale at SSE.' (1)
`During the gale on Tuesday morning last, a most distressing scene presented itself on the beach at Aldeburgh. At 6 o'clock, the sloop TWO BROTHERS, of Boston, Captain Hendry, was driven on shore, laden with coals. She instantly went to pieces, and nearly all her cargo was lost - crew all saved.' (3)
