1834 wreck of English craft which foundered after grounding on the Barnard Sand. Constructed of wood, she was a sailing vessel.

'Lowestoffe 30th January - The PROVIDENCE, of Scarbro', Watson, struck on the Barnard Sand, and sunk, this morning. Part of the stores saved.' (2)(3)
