1798 wreck of British cargo vessel which foundered off Pakefield en route from Gdansk to London with staves; a wooden sailing vessel.
Status: Casualty

`The MARTIN, Clough, from Dantzig to London, is totally lost off Pakefield. Crew saved.' (3)

`Newcastle, Nov. 17...The MARTIN, Cleugh, from Dantzick to London, with staves, is lost off Pakesfield. The carpenter drowned.' (4)
