Full Description

1831 wreck of British craft which foundered after grounding on the Barnard Sand. En route from London to Newcastle-upon-Tyne, she was a wooden sailing vessel.
Status: Casualty

`Yarmouth 2nd February. The CUMBERLAND, Sinclair, from London to Newcastle, struck on the Barnard Sand off Southwold 27th ult. and sunk. Crew saved by a boat from Southwold.' (1)(3)(4)
