ENGLISH SCHOONER, 1853
Status: Casualty

`Vessel drove ashore and was lost in wind conditions ESE force 10 accompanied by thick snow squalls. estimated loss on vessel, which was not insured, was 500 pounds [sterling]; loss on the cargo, which was insured at London, 120 pounds [sterling].' (1)
