Full Description

1703 wreck of English brigantine which stranded in Corton Roads during the "Great Storm", while outward-bound from Great Yarmouth for the Straits of Gibraltar. Constructed of wood, she was a sailing vessel.
Status: Casualty

Yarmouth November 29th. '...As to the ships bound with fish for the Straits formerly mentioned, some of them have lost their masts, others received damage, and 2 lost, viz. the MARY galley and PRINCE GEORGE brigantine, the first sunk, and the latter stranded on the shore in Corton Road.' (1)
