ENGLISH SCHOONER, 1869
Status: Casualty

`Struck hard on the Holm Sand during a strong north-north-east
gale and soon went to pieces, the crew of eight being picked up by
the Rye schooner ANNA LOUISA. The lifeboat LATETITIA had been
launched as soon as the schooner was seen in trouble and on coming up
with the Rye vessel, took off the AMELIA'S survivors, landing them at
Lowestoft.' (2)
