AMERICAN BARQUE, 1852
Status: Casualty

`Drove ashore in wind conditions SW force 4, hazy. Vessel became a total wreck, her crew being saved in their own boats.' (2)

`Lowestoffe, 17th Dec:...the MARY FLORENCE (barque) of Bath, Trott, from Newcastle to Philadelphia, were totally lost last night on the Newcome Sand, crew saved.' (1)
