Full Description

1811 wreck of English brig which stranded on the Holm Sand on her passage with coal; a wooden sailing vessel.
Status: Casualty

`The brig ADVENTURE, of Sunderland, is on shore near Lowestoffe, and will be a wreck.' (1)(4)

`On the 12th inst. the brig ADVENTURE, of Sunderland, coal loaden, was lost on the Home Heads [sic]. Crew saved.' (3)

NB: Source (2) expresses the date of loss as a reporting date of 15-OCT-1811.
