Full Description

1814 wreck of English brig which foundered after grounding on the Newcome Sand on her passage with coal; a wooden sailing vessel.
Status: Casualty

`The brig BEE, of North Yarmouth, laden with coals, struck on the Newcomb Sand off Lowestoffe 6th instrant, and sunk. Crew drowned.' (1)

`The BEE, Green, of Yarmouth, laden with coals, sunk off Lowestoff, 6th inst. Crew drowned.' (2)

`On the evening of the 6th, a loaded brig ran into the New Come Sands, abreast of the tower of Lowestoff, and soon after sunk, in deep water. It is feared all the crew perished.' (3)
