1768 wreck of English cargo vessel which stranded on the Holm Sand en route to London with coal; a wooden sailing vessel.
Status: Casualty

`Newcastle, Aug. 27...Last week the STRATFIELDSEA, Capt. Hart, of this port, coal-load, for London, was lost on the Holme Head, near Yarmouth. The crew and materials were saved.' (1)
