Full Description
1770 wreck of English brig which stranded and bilged on the Holm Sand. Laden with coal, she was a wooden sailing vessel.
Status: Casualty
`Newcastle, Jan. 5...The brig JOSEPH AND JUDAH, of Sunderland, Robert Wright, master, laden with coals, on the 18th ult. drove on the Home Sand, off Lowestoffe in Suffolk, where she bulged, overset, and went to pieces.' (1)
NB: There was a storm in the vicinity of Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft over the 18th and 19th of December.
