Full Description

Scatter of pottery and metal work found metal detecting. Pottery including samian and C1 - C2 coarse ware, coins, brooch fragments, bronze tag, bear- like fitting and terret ring (S1).
Further finds of bronze miniature terret ring and vessel escutcheon with suspension lug. Finder indicated location on map; previous finds had been mis-attributed to (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) as MKE 005 (S2). The full size terret ring is a small ring on a pointed 'skirt' with upturned sides, concealing a rounded loop of sub- circular section on the underside. A fairly unusual type, date AD 200 - 320 (S3). One brooch (? Aesica type) fragment recorded (S4).
Also Roman figurine Rat with Cybals (negatives in archive) and iron Age bucket mount bulls head.
Also IA coin.
