Full Description

Possible site of Ipswich Castle, "Besieged by Stephen [in 1153], earthworks in the arboretum grounds or the mount near St Stephen's Church have been suggested" (S1-S4).

1979: Contour survey, (S5,S6)

2006: Evaluation disproves Castle hypothesis, (S7).
