Full Description

Church of St Mary, built circa 1125 by Abbot Anselm to replace former church of St Mary demolished for construction of Abbey Church (see BSE 010). See (S3) for summary.
On N side of the Sanctuary, grave of Mary Tudor, sister of Henry VIII, and re-interred by him from the Abbey after the Dissolution (S1).
