Full Description
? Moat. Rectangular, unoccupied, near parish boundary. SW of Rob Hall, shown on 1:10560 map.
Basil Brown visited this site in 1961 when the area was being bulldozed and drained and collected sherds ranging from C15 sherds from Rom to PMed. These included C10-C12 shell gritted St Neots ware, C15 sherds from local kilns and one sherd of frilly based imported stoneware. Anthony Hammond had the dagger vetted at Cambridge Museum - said to be of late Med period and an unusual type (drawings of this in archive)(S1).
This site was previously mislocated at FNN 007.
