Full Description

Scatter: pottery and building debris. On Kedington/Wixoe parish boundary. Building debris: tile including box, tesserae, large (24mm cubed) and small (14mm cubed).
Pottery: samian, ? Colchester colour coated, Nene Valley, shell gritted. Found fieldwalking by Haverhill & Dist Arch Group (S1)(S2)(S3). Coin of Constantine, AD 307-318, and a pin or nail found metal detecting (S4).
1991: letter of November 1991 described how site deep ploughed each year. `Pot, tile & tesserae fragments now very small and weathered, - great change since we investigated site in early 80s' (S5).
