Full Description
Investigation of a ploughed field north east of Haverhill Hall moated site in 1977-78 produced extensive finds of pottery and tile. A large proportion of the pottery being late Romano-British coarse wares although some medieval and modern sherds were recovered. There was doubt as to whether the pottery had originated in the field area or had been dredged from the moat and dumped here in 1976. (S1-4)
