Full Description
Moat. Long, rectangular, isolated. Some buildings (S1). Probably site of Manor or Netherhall and/or `Overhall' (S1)(R1). Entrance bridge on W side, water filled moat averaging 6m in width, filled in at SW corner. Farmhouse on interior is late C18. S portion of moat is rough pasture and old orchard. No evidence of revetments. Surveyed by HDAG (R2). Plans after Tithe Map of 1842 (R3) and chain survey of 1986 in (S2).
Netherhall or Norley Note, possible location.
Based on its current name of Norley Moat Farm and its location away from the village centre, this is most likely to be the sub manor-Norley Note.
1606J. La Hunte died seised. Absorbed at some point by main manor. (S3)
