Full Description

Four earthenware urns (S2).
"(see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s), had men raising stones in field near Burnt Ash, found an urn which crumbled to pieces. Later, an urn containing bones was found which he took to Bury St Edmunds (Moyses Hall Museum?) where the urns were said to be Anglo Saxon. Later two others were found which were larger. Some years ago a similar find took place near the present site" (R1). Windolph Farm is at (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s), with an Ash marking parish boundary at (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s). Site is probably near to two ring ditches at Hawkedon, HWN 004, 005, so it is possible that urns are prehistoric.
