Full Description
Alabaster head of St John the Baptist, probably Nottingham work, circa 1420. Found when fireplace was being restored - had been hidden on a ledge above the beam. Seen by S E West years ago when found, taken to Norwich for opinion, sold to Ipswich Museum.
Then owner of cottage - (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) (S1).
Property known as 'Pryke's Cottage'. Grade II listed, timber framed building. Building report in parish file. S2
