Full Description

Moat. Rectangular circa 30m x 50m, arms circa 10m wide. Probable causeway in S arm. Wet, occupied, isolated, 1,000m from parish boundary, 700m from church (S1)(S2).
Substantial group of unglazed Med pottery sherds, with only 2 part-glazed Med sherds. Also a smaller amount of PMed glazed wares, stoneware, china and fragments of fired clay (? from ovens). All found in digging the garden on the moated platform. House shown in the centre of the platform on the 1:10000 map has been demolished, all that is left is a cottage on the E edge (S3).
