Full Description
Moat island. Roughly rectangular with a raised central mound, formerly unoccupied and tree covered. No house plan recovered. Pottery sherds C13-C14. This may possibly be the site of the manor of Well Hall (S1). See also Rom and Sax.
Construction of the A45 in 1973 destroyed the site which has therefore been de-scheduled - see parish file for AM7.
