Full Description
Cropmarks of a ring ditch and other indeterminate features visible at TL 741638. Ring ditch only visible on OS air photographs. (S1,S2)
TL 74116390. Cropmark of a ring ditch approximately 30.0m in diameter, plotted at 1:2500. The site lies on a slight north-south ridge in an arable field called Link Piece (a). Possibly a barrow, but no surface undulations were visible in standing crop and no finds are known to have come from the area. The other irregular sub-oval enclosure could not be positively identified. It is not visible on the OS air photographs and may well be agricultural. (S3)
The cropmark of a single ring ditch as described by the previous authorities could be seen centred at approximately TL 7411 6390 on aerial photographs taken in July 2006 by English Heritage. It is likely to be the remains of a Bronze Age round barrow. (S4)
