Full Description
Basil Brown visited site, Budd's Close, in February 1958 to inspect the oval patches, on very heavy clay where (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) had ploughed out Roman pottery. He comments that this is similar to the site at Peartree Farm, where such clay was used for pottery making. The oval patches measured approximately 3 feet 6 inches by 7 feet 6 inches and were 2 feet 6 inches - 3 feet deep. Sketch in archive (S1)(S2).
Adjacent CHD 021.
Also Pal.
