Full Description

Two cremations, ? late C1-C2. Found in excavation of an area 25 x 10 feet following surface finds of buff ware sherds. Found at base of 2 foot red loam layer overlying boulder clay.
Cremation 1: wide mouthed jar, `blackware', with 2 horizontal grooves. Heavily burnt bone, possibly adolescent or young adult female. Cremation 2: medium mouthed jar, `blackware' associated small handmade "unguent" pot. Heavily burnt bone, unidentifiable.
