Full Description
This site is part of PKM 007 settlement site extending from Pakenham fort to Grimstone End. It lies NW of Fulmer Bridge. An undated sketch map and a 1904 OS map are annotated by Basil Brown : Roman settlement, hut sites, pottery, etc. found during quarrying trials by A Newport Ltd and deep ploughing by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s), farmer (S1) (S2).
In the same area Basil Brown records the finding of a Roman coin by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) in 1951 (S3).
