Full Description

Bronze age finds, including 2 obligue and one barbed and tanged arrowheads, and 2 bronze awls (also note several iron examples) from excavations of Saxon village site (S1)(S2). Part of very large assemblage of worked flints (20,795 struck flints recorded (S2), mainlt thought to be of Mesolithic and Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age date but no detailed analysis undertaken.
Forty six secondary cremations in ditch and on inner lip of burial mound and numerous transverse arrowheads of LNeo form (see Neo) in general area of the ring ditch. Two of the cremations had bronze stains on the bones suggesting an EBA date.
