Full Description

Probable dispersed hoard of gold coins, all found with metal detectors:- (1) (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s)(Field 0006) : Gold stater of Cunobelinus (Mack 212), weight 5.35gm, found 25 May 1980 by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s), now thought to have been sold abroad.
(2) (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) (Field 0006) : Gold stater of Cunobelinus (Mack 208) found 1980 by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s).
(3) (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) (Field 8600) : Gold stater of Cunobelinus, either Mack 206 or 207 (photographs of 3 and 4 held by SAU but no note as to which is which). Found 1984 by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s).
(4) (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s)(Field 8600) : Gold stater of Cunobelinus, either Mack 206 or 207 (see above (3)). Found 1984 by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s).
(5) (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) (Field 8600) : Gold stater of Cunobelinus. Unseen, reported by IMDC 1984.
(6) (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) (Field 8600) : Gold stater of Cunobelinus. Unseen, reported by IMDC 1984.
(7) (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) (Field 8600): Three gold staters of Cunobelinus.
The concentration of finds indicates a hoard in the vicinity of (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s)
(see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) has four or five coins (S1).
