Full Description

"Prolific surface flint site found circa 1910". From undated 6 inch map of R R Clarke (S1). Approximately 16 hectares in extent (S2).
N.B. `CA' - Conservation Area.
July 1994: Area given rapid surface survey prior to forestry work. Land mostly afforested with mature pines or meadows. Only small visible area of ground surface due to horse disturbance N of pitted area and on forest NW-SE trackway within defined site disclosed 8 worked flints, all of prehistoric date (S3).
