Full Description

1953: Three Darmsden type worked flints from pebbly crag, deposited in old pit in Hascot Hill Valley, Battisford, collected by H E P Spencer (S1). For Acheulean hand-axe found near the bridge in Hascot Hill Valley - see BAT 003.

"Darmsden type" as defined by Reid Moir that may be natural in origin. However this is currently under reppraisal by Mark White of Durham University (S2).

Formerly recorded as BAT MISC

No further details found in Ipswich Museum Accession registers September 2020.
