Full Description
1970: Rom concentrated pottery scatter, found during fieldwalking survey by R Colchester, including Samian. Fragment of flanged bowl orange coated white ware found to W of main concentration, (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s)(S1)(S2)(S4). Bronze fragment, horse's head shape, probably part of ornate buckle plate of late Roman type. Also a rectangular strap end, decorated, ? date. Found metal detecting at (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s)(S3).
Another similar buckle fragment found, also Colchester derivative brooch with hinged pin (S1).
