Full Description
Copper or bronze (not analysed) halberd. Four perimeter rivet holes/notches on hilt. Wide, flat, central mid-rib to blade. Severely corroded and bent when found. Now in two pieces, length 37.5 cms. Found by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) in April 1967 after being bent around and removed from a harrow. Straightening by BSEMH resulted in snapped blade (S4).
Type 6 halberd (R1) of Stage III or IV of the Mount Pleasant period, circa C22-C18 BC (R2).
