Full Description
Topsoil clearance to make a lake revealed a pit 3 feet in diameter and 3 feet 6 inches deep, and two post holes approximately 1 foot in diameter and the same deep.
The pit contained calcined flint gritted pottery (including some rims) and charcoal. Adjacent to, and possibly leading into, the pit was a shallow ditch. Site visited by E Martin 17 November 1983 but feature had already been excavated away. Clay subsoil (S1).
