Full Description

Flat bronze axe found in 1944 (S1). Surface find, finder unknown (S2, S3, S5).
Copper or bronze flat axe with thin butt. Narrow, slightly irregular butt with concave sides flaring to splayed crescentric, slightly irregular blunt blade edge. 15.6 x 8.9 x 1.0 cms (S2-S5).
Formerly in the collection of Mr Sidney Ford at West Row (S1,S2,S3,S5).
