Full Description

Rom pottery sherds dredged from the river Lark. Recorded findspot on N bank of river (S1,S3). Other prehistoric and Roman material found on opposite, S bank, of river - WGN 008.

North bank of Lark at this location is now grass covered and has been since at least 1960. Similarly since 1960, if not earlier, dredged material from the Lark has been deposited on S bank (S2).

Possibly site of river crossing between WGN 005 and MNL 232.
