Full Description

Finds scatter mainly of EBA date.
Found fieldwalking by Colin Pendleton between 1971 and 1976. Finds include various worked flints, e.g. a leaf shaped plano-convex knife, flint hammer stones, a triangular arrowhead from TL 6554 7717, a transverse arrowhead from TL 6554 7716, a barbed and tanged arrowhead from TL 6549 7710, a bone awl from TL 6553 7715 and a saddle quern (not collected) from TL 6561 7711. Also quantities of pottery including finely decorated beaker and collared urn sherds.
Within this spread a burnt flint patch was located centreing on TL 6557 7709 (S1).
Finds comparable to those from excavations at MNL 042 and MNL 165.
