Full Description
"Chalk structure disclosed by deep ploughing. Circular (4 feet diameter) hollow structure made of blocks of chalk clunch, large flints on top, silt inside. Extends downward about 7 feet. Timber at base. No tradition or dateable material" (S1,S2).
Possibly well, probably `tipe' (swivelled rabbit trap). Possibly further information in G Briscoe archive (S3).
