Full Description

Bronze thin butted flat axe (analysed by BM, May 1982, result unknown). Concave sides expand to curved cutting edge. Bright brass colour and small surface pitting, probably result of (unrecorded) conservation treatment. 11.7 cms long. No locality for find recorded, but purchased at sale of Sir Henry Bunbury's effects at the Manor House, Mildenhall on 18 March, 1932, so almost certainly from Mildenhall parish (S1)(S2). Possibly one of two recorded by Bunbury (see CRN 09288).

Formerly recorded as MNL MISC
