Summary

The cropmarks of a small ring ditch of unknown date and function, are visible on aerial photographs. Whilst it is feasible that this feature represent the remains of small barrow, its small size may reflect a domestic or agricultural origin and may relate to the fields and enclosures recorded within this area (FTN 010).

January 2014. Lothingland, Lowestoft and North Suffolk Coast and Heaths National Mapping Programme.
The cropmarks of a small ring ditch of unknown date and function, are visible on aerial photographs (S1). The ring ditch is centred on TM 5163 9612 and measures 8m in diameter. Whilst it is feasible that this feature represent the remains of small barrow, its small size may reflect a domestic or agricultural origin and may relate to the fields and enclosures recorded within this area (FTN 010).
