Summary

A possible ring ditch is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs. Although undated, if it is a genuine archaeological feature, it is most likely to represent the site of a Bronze Age round barrow. This feature was recorded previously as part of SHER WNF 022.

March 2014. Lothingland, Lowestoft and North Suffolk Coast and Heaths National Mapping Programme.
A possible ring ditch is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs (S1), centred at TM 4703 7761. Although undated, if it is a genuine archaeological feature, it is most likely to represent the site of a Bronze Age round barrow. This feature has been recorded previously as part of SHER WNF 022 but it was considered necessary to record it separately from the other linear cropmarks in the vicinity.
