Summary

The site of World War Two surface, sub-surface and earthen-covered public air raid shelters is visible on aerial photographs. Entrances leading to sub-surface shelters to the south would suggest that basements of house have been converted for this use.

The site of World War Two surface, sub-surface and earthen-covered public air raid shelters is visible on aerial photographs (S1). Entrances leading to sub-surface shelters to the south would suggest that basements of house have been converted for this use.
