Full Description
June 2014. Lothingland, Lowestoft and North Suffolk Coast and Heaths National Mapping Programme.
A probable World War Two gun emplacement and/or weapons pit are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs (S1), on land to the south of Benacre Road, Henstead with Hulver Street. It is likely that they were sited to defend a section of the anti-tank ditch (SHER BNC 086) and the crossing of Hundred River nearby, at which two possible pillboxes were sited (SHER HSS 020).
E. Ford (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 5th June 2014.
