Full Description
June 2014. Lothingland, Lowestoft and North Suffolk Coast and Heaths National Mapping Programme.
Undated linear ditches are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1-S2), on land to the north of Benacre Road, Henstead with Hulver Street.
They are fragmentary and visible against a background of geological marks, but appear to be distinct from the cropmarks of the former anti-tank ditch (SHER BNC 086) and the parish boundary, both of which run southwest-northeast through the field. It is possible that the archaeological features extend further than those that are mapped.
E. Ford (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 5th June 2014.
