Summary

A World War Two site including at least two small air raid shelters is visible on aerial photographs on the site of former brickworks (SHER GSE 026). It is possible that several other underground shelters were situated here, as the quarry appears to be in use during World War Two.

August 2014. Lothingland, Lowestoft and North Suffolk Coast and Heaths National Mapping Programme.
A World War Two site including at least two small air raid shelters is visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2) on the site of former brickworks (SHER GSE 026). It is possible that several other underground shelters were situated here, as the quarry appears to be in use during World War Two.
